Elevate Me" was improvised in just one take with a vocoder on a night when hope had managed to escape. The lyrics and melody were sung intuitively and viscerally, with only a few spatial effects and a synth bass added during production.

The song opens with the words "Elevate Me" in a repeated plea to escape a world where we cannot be loved. Branza's vocals are soulful, infused with emotion and with a depth that can be felt in every note. The lyrics reveal an emotional release that comes from a sense of exhaustion and saturation with a society which perpetuates discrimination and hate.

Through his improvised lyrics and melodies, Agon channels the frustration and despair that comes with constantly having to fight for one's existence, while offering a glimmer of hope for a better future.

The song is a poignant experimental exercise about the struggles marginalised communities face daily and a powerful call to action for greater empathy, understanding and inclusivity.
